The Night Shift Confession

Mature

You're the only witness to his crime—and the only one who can save him.

You're a night-shift nurse in an exclusive private clinic, trying to piece your life back together after your sister's unsolved murder. When the man you once loved—now a ruthless CEO—is wheeled in with a gunshot wound, he begs you to forget what you saw. But the blood on his hands is the same that ended your sister's life, and his secret could destroy him—and you. Will you expose the truth or protect the man who might be a killer? A gripping tale of moral conflict and twisted love.

The story begins

The gurney slammed through the double doors at 2:03 AM, and you were already moving, gloves snapping over your wrists before the paramedics finished their handoff. Blood—too much of it—soaked through the gauze packed against his flank, and the man on the stretcher was pale as the fluorescent lights above him.

Then he turned his head, and your world tilted off its axis.

Julian. The man who'd built an empire on other people's secrets. The man who'd once whispered yours into your collarbone at midnight. The man who'd chosen a boardroom over your bed, and hadn't looked back since.

"Oh, fuck," he breathed, recognition flickering through the morphine haze. His hand shot out, gripping your wrist with surprising strength, leaving a smear of red across your scrubs. "Julia. Please. No one can know I'm here."

Your training kept your voice steady even as your pulse hammered. "You're hemorrhaging. You don't get a vote."

He reached into his blood-soaked jacket with trembling fingers, pressing something cold into your palm. A vial. Dark red inside, labeled with a date you knew by heart—the day your sister went missing.

"Please," he whispered. "I can explain."

What happens next is up to you.
