The Dreamer's Atlas

You wake each morning with scars from lives you never lived, and the map to your true self is written in your own hand.

Every night you dream a different life—and every morning you wake with a new scar to prove it was real. But when you discover a map in your own handwriting leading to a half-remembered island, you realize the dreams are not fantasies: they're a trail to a truth someone has been editing out of your mind. As you follow the map across treacherous seas and through shifting memories, you must uncover who is rewriting your past and why the island at the end might hold the real you—the one they've hidden. An adventure of survival, hidden identity, and the impossible choice between the life you know and the one you've forgotten.

The story begins

The paper was in your own hand. You knew the slope of your S, the way your r hooked like a fishing line. But you’d never seen this map before. It lay on the sun-bleached floorboards beside your cot, a single sheet of parchment that smelled of salt and old ink, and your palm stung where a fresh scar split the lifeline.

You pressed your thumb to it. Blood welled, bright and impossible. The wound was hours old, yet the map beneath it had been drawn in ink that was already fading.

Outside, the port city of Velle clamored with gulls and hawkers, but in here the air was still. Heavy. You’d woken with the dream clinging to you—a whispering voice, a hand tracing coastlines on your skin—and now the map proved it: you’d been there. You’d drawn this. The island at the edge, the one shaped like a broken tooth, was the same one that had haunted your sleep for months.

But you had no memory of drawing it. And the scar on your palm was not yours.

The door rattled. Someone knocked, hard.

What happens next is up to you.
