The Godmother's Ledger

You built a life on a lie—now the truth wants a wedding.

Small-town florist, you thought your quiet life was your own. But when billionaire tycoon Alexander Roth arrives with a dossier revealing that every friend, job, and memory was manufactured by your ruthless godmother, your world shatters. The wedding he insists on isn't about love—it's a transfer of control from one puppeteer to another. Now you have a choice: defy the billionaires who shaped your fate and risk everything, or walk down the aisle into a gilded cage. In this enemies-to-lovers tale of manipulation and betrayal, can you trust the man who wants to own you, or will the truth set you free?

The story begins

The bell above the shop door chimed, a delicate, silvered sound that had always felt like home. You looked up from the peonies you were wiring, a stem still caught between your fingers, and the afternoon light seemed to dim.

He stood in the doorway, a man who had no business in a place like this. His suit was charcoal, immaculate, cut by hands that had never touched soil. His eyes, the color of a winter sea, swept over the buckets of dahlias and the hanging ferns with an expression you couldn't read—not disdain, exactly. Something closer to grief.

"Are you Evelyn?" His voice was low, and it didn't belong in the warm, pollen-scented air.

"Everyone calls me Evie." You set the peony down, a strange unease coiling in your stomach. "Can I help you?"

He didn't answer. Instead, he crossed the worn wooden floor and placed a slim black folder on the counter between you. It landed with a soft, heavy thud. "My name is Alexander Roth," he said. "I believe you're my godmother's favorite project. And I have the receipts to prove it."

What happens next is up to you.
