The Heiress Error

You're a struggling bartender mistaken for a missing heiress—and the ghost of the real one warns you to run.

A case of mistaken identity thrusts you into the gilded halls of a tech empire, where the patriarch—her estranged brother—believes you're his long-lost sister. To settle a family curse, he's determined to teach you to pass as her, but the real heiress's ghost appears, warning that the house will claim anyone who wears her face. With every moment you spend in her shoes, the haunting grows stronger, and you must convince the billionaire you're not her before the house takes its toll. A supernatural billionaire romance where identity is a trap and the only escape is the truth.

The story begins

The clatter of the ice bin was your only warning. One moment you were wiping down the bar, the next a man in a thousand-dollar suit had seized your wrist, his grip cold and desperate. The party's laughter faded to a murmur behind him.

"Elena." The name fell from his lips like a prayer. "God, Elena, where have you been?"

You tried to pull back, but his eyes—gray as a winter sky—held you pinned. "Mister Croft, I'm not—"

"Don't." His voice cracked. "Don't do this again. I've watched you vanish from every room I enter. I won't let you slip away twice."

The bartender in you, the survivor, kicked in. You twisted your wrist free and stepped back, letting your voice go flat. "I'm the one who poured your scotch an hour ago. You're drunk, and you're seeing ghosts."

Something flickered in his face—doubt, then a terrible, hungry hope. "Then prove it. Tell me you're not her."

The air in the room turned cold. A whisper, soft as silk, brushed your ear: He'll never believe you. The house already knows your name.

What happens next is up to you.
