The Sunken Vault

You are the last lighthouse keeper on the drowned coast, and the sea holds a vault that knows your name.

The waters rose and swallowed the old world, leaving only the drowned coast and its rusting lighthouses. You are the last keeper, a salvage diver with a debt to the deep. When a syndicate hires you to recover a legendary vault from the sea floor, you dive into a labyrinth of flooded ruins—only to find it guarded by a mechanical leviathan that recognizes you. The vault holds your family's legacy, but the syndicate that hired you is the same one that destroyed them. Will you claim the treasure and avenge your blood, or let the sea keep its secrets? A tale of survival, betrayal, and impossible choices beneath the waves.

The story begins

The rusted ladder groaned beneath your weight as you climbed, salt spray stinging your eyes. Above, the lighthouse lamp swept its lonely beam across a horizon that had swallowed a hundred cities. You'd made this climb a thousand times, but tonight the air felt wrong—heavy, electric, like the sea itself was holding its breath.

Below, a motorboat idled at the jetty. Admiral Voss leaned against the rail, his grin a flash of white in the gloom. "Beautiful view, isn't it?" he called up, voice smooth as oil. "But I've got something better to show you. A map. A vault. And a fortune that'll make your ancestors weep."

You'd heard his kind before—charm wrapped around a blade. But the name he dropped next stopped you cold. The Sunken Vault. Your family's name was carved into its seal, or so the old stories claimed. Stories you'd buried along with everything else.

The lamp turned. The sea went quiet.

"Your air tanks are full," Voss said, tossing a waterproof case onto the dock. "The tide turns in forty minutes. You in, or do I find another diver?"

What happens next is up to you.
