The Weaver's Labyrinth

You wake to a perfect life, but every thread of it is a lie—and the only way out is to unravel the weaver's world.

You open your eyes to a life you don't remember earning: a devoted family, a thriving career, and a map to a fabled treasure that feels like destiny. Yet, as you explore this gilded existence, cracks appear—faces blur, memories fray, and even the stars seem woven. A mysterious benefactor has crafted your reality, thread by thread, and you are the pattern they've chosen. To break free, you must trace each strand back to the weaver, but every truth you uncover risks tearing apart the only world you've ever known. This is a tale of identity, escape, and the impossible choice between reality and comfort.

The story begins

The morning light fell wrong across your garden. Not the light itself—that was soft, golden, exactly as it always was—but the way it caught the thread on your sleeve. You'd been tracing the map's faded ink with your thumb, the parchment warm from your pocket, when the thread snagged your attention.

It shimmered. Not like silk. Like something that knew it was being seen.

You reached to pull it free, and your fingers passed through nothing. The thread was gone, and the map in your hand now showed a path you didn't remember drawing—a thick, dark line leading from your cottage, through the garden gate, and into the heart of the ancient forest.

Ellara's voice drifted from the kitchen window, warm as honey. "Breakfast is ready, love."

You folded the map quickly. The garden gate creaked in the breeze, though there was no wind. The roses along the fence turned their heads—all of them, in unison—as if they'd been waiting for you to notice.

Behind you, the kitchen window went silent. No clatter of plates. No hum.

Just the garden. Just the map. Just the wrongness settling into your bones like a splinter you couldn't dig out.

What happens next is up to you.
