The Architect's Life

Your life is a blueprint he drew—and he's demanding one more year to own you.

You built a cozy suburban life—a job, a routine, a fiancé—all of it a carefully crafted set. When you discover the truth, that a billionaire has been orchestrating your every move since college, you confront him. He offers you a deal: play his twisted office romance for one more year, and he'll reveal everything, including the secrets about your own past that even you don't know. But as you step into his world of glass towers and hidden cameras, you're forced to question: is this a cage or a gallery? And can you trust the architect of your entire existence when the only thing he's ever given you is a lie?

The story begins

The elevator doors slid apart with a soft, hydraulic sigh, depositing you into a penthouse that smelled of cold glass and old money. Your heels—the same ones you'd worn to your engagement dinner—clicked against the marble as you stepped out, your purse still clutched to your chest like a shield.

The Architect stood at the window, back to you, silhouetted against the city's glittering grid. A single folder lay on the conference table between you, its manila surface worn at the edges, your name written across the tab in meticulous, familiar handwriting.

"Your fiancé thinks you're at a late meeting," he said without turning. "I know he does. I know he texted you at 7:42, and I know how you replied."

You stopped, fingers tightening on the folder's edge. The air was wrong—too still, too deliberate.

"Open it," he said. "The first page is from a Tuesday in October, your sophomore year. You were late to Professor Ashford's lecture. You spilled coffee on your notes."

Your hand trembled as you flipped the cover.

He finally turned, and his eyes held yours, patient and certain. "That was the day I decided to build you."

What happens next is up to you.
