MatureYou owe a fire-witch a life-debt, and tonight she's calling it in—enter the Ashen Labyrinth and steal a coal that can unmake flame.
You owe a fire-witch a life-debt, and tonight she's calling it in—she wants you to enter the still-burning heart of the Ashen Labyrinth and steal a coal that can unmake flame. The dungeon is alive with sentient cinders that remember every promise you've ever broken, and the witch's true price may be the memory of the family you lost in a fire you caused. As you descend, you must decide what you're willing to sacrifice: your memory, your freedom, or the last chance to atone. A survival adventure where every choice stokes the flames of fate.
The story begins
The Fire-Witch’s voice still coiled in your skull, a whisper of smoke and promise, as the last of her torchlight bled away behind you. The Ashen Labyrinth swallowed you whole, its walls of cooled magma breathing a heat that had nothing to do with the earth. Ash fell like gray snow, muffling your footsteps, and in the silence, you heard it: the whisper of your own name, spoken in your mother’s voice.
You froze. The corridor ahead shimmered, heat haze twisting into a familiar shape—the kitchen table, the crack in the wall, the scent of bread. And there, half-turned as if caught mid-motion, stood your sister. She looked exactly as she had the night of the fire, soot-streaked and wide-eyed.
“You can still fix it,” she whispered, and her voice carried the crackle of burning timbers. “You can still come home.”
The walls pulsed, and a spark detached itself from the ceiling—the Cinder, hovering at your shoulder with a flicker that might have been amusement. “Careful, debtor. The labyrinth feeds on guilt, and you’re a feast.”
Ahead, the path split. One corridor glowed with the promise of memory, warm and inviting. The other led into darkness, where the air smelled of cold stone and something older.
