The Glacier's Witness

You saw the forbidden ritual that erased your homeland—now outrun the hunters who'd silence you forever.

You are a courier braving the frozen wastes when you stumble upon a forbidden ritual: the Ice Court is using a captured god to rewrite the world's memories, erasing your homeland from existence. With the court's hunters closing in, you must survive the brutal cold and relentless pursuit—but the dying god's whisper offers a chance to undo the erasure if you can reach the Heart of Winter. A race against time and memory, where every choice could cost you your past or your life.

The story begins

The wind screamed like a dying thing across the white expanse, and you pressed your hood tighter, the frozen leather creaking against your cheeks. You'd crossed these wastes a hundred times, but never like this—never with the sky bleeding violet overhead, never with the ground trembling beneath your boots like a struck bell.

You crested the ridge and saw them.

The Ice Court's priests stood in a circle of carved obsidian, their robes whipping in the gale. At their center, chained to a pillar of black ice, knelt a figure that radiated heat like a furnace. You felt it from here—a warmth that melted the frost on your lashes, that made your numb fingers ache with sudden blood.

The god raised its head. Its eyes found yours across the distance, and you heard its voice not in your ears but in your bones.

They are rewriting the world. Your homeland is already gone.

The priests chanted. The god screamed—a sound that cracked the ice beneath your feet—and you watched something shimmer and dissolve in the air like morning frost in sunlight. Your mother's face. The smell of pine. The name of your village. All of it, unraveling.

One of the priests turned. Their gaze locked on your ridge.

What happens next is up to you.
