The Glass Prison

You live in a perfect world—until you find the crack that reveals the truth.

You've spent your whole life in a flawless suburban routine, surrounded by neighbors who never age and skies that never storm. But when you stumble upon a crack in reality—a glitch in the perfect facade—you uncover the terrible truth: your world is a simulation, crafted by a grieving billionaire to preserve a life he lost. Now you must decide: shatter the only existence you've ever known, or stay trapped in a beautiful lie. Escape means facing the void beyond the glass, and the creator who will stop at nothing to keep you inside.

The story begins

The sprinkler on your front lawn cycled on at exactly 7:14 PM, as it always did, but today the water shimmered with a silver sheen you’d never noticed before. You were reaching down to adjust the nozzle—a small rebellion against the perfect symmetry of the cul-de-sac—when your hand passed through the spray and came back dry. Not a drop. The grass was wet, the air smelled of rain-cut chlorophyll, but your skin was untouched.

You stood there, staring at your own dry palm, and that’s when the crack split the sky. A thin, jagged line of gray-white, running from the top of the glass dome down to the roofline of the Morrisons’ house. It didn’t sound like thunder. It sounded like a fingernail dragging across a windowpane, and it was coming from everywhere at once.

A voice, low and clipped, whispered from the crack: You are not real. Find the source. Before he resets you.

Your neighbor, Tom, was still waving from his driveway, his smile frozen mid-gesture, his eyes not quite tracking you.

What happens next is up to you.
