The Living Dominion
You inherited a living frontier, and it has chosen you as its host.
When your estranged benefactor bequeaths you the most dangerous territory in the virtual world—a lawless frontier where every faction wants you dead—you discover the land itself is alive. It has chosen you as its new host, granting you power over its shifting terrain, but at a cost: the land hungers, and it demands your will. Now you must navigate a realm of rival warlords, ancient algorithms, and a sentient geography that may be your only ally—or your ultimate prison. In this epic survival adventure, every decision shapes the frontier, and the frontier shapes you.
The story begins
The land screamed under your boots.
Not in sound—in sensation. A seismic shudder that rippled through the packed earth, through the soles of your worn leather, up into your spine. The red-clay canyon walls trembled, loose stones skittering down the slopes like fleeing insects. Ahead, the ruined watchtower of your inheritance leaned against a bruised sky, its silhouette familiar from the legal holo-files, yet impossibly alive in the way it seemed to breathe.
You'd only been in the Dominion for eleven minutes. The land had already tasted you, marked you—a warmth coiled beneath your sternum, humming with a hunger that wasn't entirely your own. A pressure in your skull, almost like a voice pressed against glass, whispering a name that wasn't yours.
Then you saw it: a figure standing in the tower's shadow, wrapped in a tattered duster, watching you with the patience of something that had been waiting a long time.
"Knew you'd come," they called, voice dry as the canyon wind. "Question is whether the land brought you here to rule—or to feed."
The ground beneath your feet shifted, almost imperceptibly, as if the Dominion were leaning in to hear your answer.
