The Treasure Hymn

You've lost your voice, but the Siren's Trial demands you sing to win back your family's freedom.

You are a disgraced opera singer, stripped of your name and your voice, but the Siren's Trial offers a chance to reclaim both. This brutal art-treasure contest promises the winner the sunken Temple of Echoes, the only place with a map to your father's lost expedition. Your rival is the man who stole your voice, and the only song that can win is a forbidden hymn that shatters eardrums. With the finale in three days and your family's freedom on the line, you must decide what identity you'll sacrifice to reach the temple's depths.

The story begins

The sea-salt air of Aria's opera house clung to your skin as you stood in the wings, the velvet curtain a whisper away from swallowing you whole. Below, the audience shimmered like a tide of jewels, their murmured anticipation a low hum that vibrated through the brass filigree of the balustrade. Your father's journal was a weight in your coat pocket, its leather worn smooth, its pages whispering of drowned corridors and songs that could kill. You had no voice—Vancour had seen to that—but you had your body, your memory, and a fury that burned cold.

Then he stepped into the light. Maestro Vancour, silver-threaded hair and a smile that had once been your undoing. He didn't recognize you—how could he? You were a different woman now, disguised in plain silks and a name that wasn't yours. The conductor raised his baton, and the first notes of the duet rippled through the hall like a stone dropped in still water. Vancour turned to you, expectant, his eyes gleaming with the arrogance of a man who thought he held all the cards. The audience leaned forward, and the tide outside began to stir.

What happens next is up to you.
