The Ruin's Debtor

You must join the woman who destroyed you to open the vault you were sworn to protect—before the seal dissolves forever.

You are a treasure hunter who lost everything when your fleet was sunk and you were left for dead by your most trusted rival. Now she leads the only expedition that can reach the ancient vault you were sworn to open. But the vault's lock requires both of your signatures, and the seal dissolves in seven days. With time running out and betrayal in the air, you must decide: work with the woman you hate most or risk losing the treasure—and your honor—forever. This adventure is perfect for fans of survival thrillers, hidden identities, and high-stakes rivalries.

The story begins

The deck of the Marrow pitched beneath you, salt spray stinging your eyes as the reef’s jagged teeth gnashed at the hull. Morwen stood at the prow, her silhouette sharp against the bruised dawn sky, one hand resting on the corroded brass spyglass she’d taken from your burning flagship. She hadn’t let it out of her sight since the day she sank you.

“Chart’s wrong,” she called over the wind, not looking back. “You said you knew this passage.”

You wiped the brine from your lips, tasting copper. The map was burned into your memory—every contour, every false shoal—but the seal beneath the reef was weakening, and the currents had shifted like a dying animal’s last breath. Tomas hovered at your elbow, his knuckles white on the rigging, his gaze flickering between you and Morwen with something you couldn’t name.

“The passage is right,” you said, voice flat. “The reef is lying.”

Morwen turned, a slow smile curving beneath her scarred jaw. “Then we’ll make it tell the truth.”

The first tremor struck as she spoke—a low, grinding groan from the deep, as if the vault itself were waking.

What happens next is up to you.
