The Fabricated Life

Your whole world is a lie, and the only truth is the key to the architect's door.

You've always known your hometown as a quiet, ordinary place, but tonight you discover every street, every face, and even your own memories were constructed by a reclusive architect who watches from a mansion at the hill's edge. His servants are coming to 'reset' you, and the only truth you've ever owned is the stranger's key that opens his door. Unravel the conspiracy, escape the trap, and reclaim your past in this thrilling haunted house survival adventure.

The story begins

The key was cold against your palm, a serrated weight that didn't belong to any lock you'd ever seen. The stranger's whisper still rang in your ears—They're coming to reset you.—but the street behind you was empty, the lamplight pooling on cobblestones that gleamed like freshly painted plastic.

You'd noticed it an hour ago, standing at your kitchen window. Mrs. Albright from number twelve had walked past, and you'd seen her face—the exact same face—on the mailman that morning. Then the sky flickered, a seam of static stitching across the stars. And beneath your floorboards, a hum like a machine breathing.

Now sirens wailed in the distance, a sound you'd never heard in this town. The stranger had vanished into the fog, leaving only the key and a whispered warning.

Your house loomed behind you—your house, with its picket fence and rose bushes that never wilted. Inside was everything you'd been told was yours: photographs, a dog, a childhood. But the dog had a tag that read PROPERTY OF THE ARCHITECT.

The sirens grew closer, and somewhere in the dark, a figure in a grey uniform stepped out from behind a hedge, its face smooth and featureless.

What happens next is up to you.
