The Scripted Shore

Every choice you've ever made was written for you—until a shipwrecked sailor hands you a pen.

You've lived your entire life in a cliffside village where storms, festivals, and even your own choices are choreographed by an unseen 'author.' When a shipwrecked sailor tells you the real world lies beyond the reef, you finally understand the haunted lighthouse at the point has been watching—and it's been writing back. To escape the script, you must enter the lighthouse and rewrite the story, but every edit has a cost. Will you trade your predictable life for the chaos of a world you've never seen?

The story begins

The storm had a voice, and tonight it screamed your name.

You pressed your palm flat against the cold glass of your window, watching the sailor stumble up the cobbled path below—a dark shape against the furious white of the breakers. He moved like a man who'd fought the sea and lost, and yet he carried himself with a strange defiance, as if the ocean's rejection had only sharpened his hunger for it.

You'd never seen anyone like him in the village. Everyone here walked with their shoulders curved inward, heads bowed as if expecting a blow from the sky. But this man—he looked up. At the lighthouse. At the beam that swept across the cliffside, painting the wet stones in sickly gold.

And then he looked at your window.

His gaze found you through the rain-slicked dark, and he smiled—a knowing, terrible smile, as if he'd expected to find you watching. As if he'd crossed the whole damned ocean just to stand beneath your sill.

The lighthouse beam pulsed once. Twice. Faster.

What happens next is up to you.
