The Gauntlet of Echoes

Race through a haunted mansion's ever-shifting halls to save your sister—but the ghost that built the maze has its own plans for you.

Your sister is dying, and the only cure lies at the heart of the Gauntlet of Echoes—a cursed mansion that traps its guests in looping corridors of their past. But you're not the only one running; other desperate souls compete for the prize, and the ghostly architect watches every move, delighted by the chaos. As the walls rearrange and the mansion hunts you, you must decide how much of yourself you're willing to lose to win the race. A survival horror adventure where every door opens a memory, and the exit might cost you everything.

The story begins

The door slammed shut behind you with the finality of a coffin lid, and the mansion's foyer swallowed the last of the afternoon light. Dust motes danced in the thin beam of a single gas lamp that flickered to life on a mahogany table—a table that hadn't been there a second ago.

You pressed your palm flat against the carved wood, feeling the cold pulse beneath your fingers like a heartbeat. Somewhere above, floorboards groaned. Not settling. Listening.

"Sister mine." The voice came from everywhere and nowhere, threaded with dry amusement. "You brought nothing but your nerve. No weapon, no map, no coin for the tolls."

You didn't answer. Mara's face burned behind your eyes—her thin wrists, the blue veins like rivers under paper skin. The cure was somewhere in these impossible halls. That was all that mattered.

The lamp guttered. When it steadied, a figure stood at the far end of the foyer: tall, silver-haired, wearing a coat cut from shadow. The Echo-Warden smiled with too many teeth.

"Then let us begin. The first door will show you a memory you'd rather forget. Walk through it, and the game continues. Turn back, and you leave with nothing—and she dies."

He vanished. Three doors materialized along the wall, each humming with a different frequency of dread.

What happens next is up to you.
