The Glass Inheritance

You inherit a lighthouse that shows you your own death—and a detective's badge that could stop it.

When your estranged aunt dies, you inherit her isolated coastal estate—including the sentient lighthouse that has watched the shore for a century. But the light doesn't just guide ships; it shows you visions of the future. And every vision ends with your death. Hidden in her safe, a detective's badge hints at her secret investigation into the lighthouse's true origin. Now, you must follow her trail, confront the light's deadly predictions, and uncover the truth before the next vision comes true. This is a tale of mystery, survival, and impossible choices set against the crashing sea.

The story begins

The wind tore at your coat as you forced the lighthouse door open, salt spray stinging your eyes. Rain hammered the ancient stone, and the brass handle was cold and slick in your grip. Inside, the air was thick with dust and the smell of oiled metal. Your aunt's letter crackled in your pocket, a final summons you'd almost ignored.

The spiral staircase groaned as you climbed, each step echoing in the hollow tower. The lamp room waited above, its great lens dormant in the gray twilight. You'd come to settle her affairs, to sell the relic and leave this godforsaken coast behind. But as your hand touched the brass rail, the world tilted.

A vision slammed through you — lightning, the crash of waves, your own body broken on the rocks below. A week from now. You gasped, stumbling back, the image already fading like a half-remembered dream.

The lighthouse hummed, a deep vibration you felt in your teeth. And then, impossibly, a voice—not sound, but meaning—pressed against your mind: You came. Finally.

What happens next is up to you.
