The Wrong Ghost

Mature

You mapped a dead woman's house, but now a ghost thinks you're the killer he's been hunting for a century.

You're a lowly surveyor hired to map the haunted house of the vanished Baroness Voss, a place of shifting corridors and spectral whispers. On your first night, you witness the baron's ghost murder a guest who never existed—and he mistakes you for the assassin who escaped him a hundred years ago. Now the house's traps, its angry spirits, and the baron himself are all closing in, and the only way to survive is to expose the false witness before the ghost's obsession consumes you. It's a desperate game of survival in a haunted house where every shadow is a lie and every truth is a trap.

The story begins

The chandelier crashed into the grand hall's marble floor, shattering in a cascade of crystal and shadow. You flattened yourself behind a crumbling pillar, dust stinging your nose as the echo of the scream still rang in your ears—a scream from a throat that had no body.

The baron stood in the center of the room, a translucent horror in a rotting suit, his hands still outstretched where they'd torn through the false guest's chest. The phantom had dissolved like smoke, but the baron's hollow eyes snapped toward you with terrible precision.

"You." His voice was the grinding of coffin lids. "The assassin returns."

Your surveyor's eye caught details even as your heart hammered: the baron's feet didn't touch the floor, the grandfather clock behind him read 3:33, and the portrait of the baroness on the wall—her eyes were wet. Crying. Watching.

The baron drifted closer, and somewhere deep in the house, a door slammed shut. Then another. Then another.

The house was locking itself.

What happens next is up to you.
